Patti Weir
Patti Weir (she/her) has been a faculty member in the Department of Kinesiology since 1991. Her research interests lie in identifying changes in motor performance with age, and the factors that contribute to successful aging. She has served as the President of the Canadian Society for Psychomotor Learning and Sport Psychology (SCAPPS), the Chair of the Ontario Council of Graduate Studies, and Vice-President for the Canadian Association for Graduate Studies. She has been the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies since 2011, and most recently served as Interim Provost and Vice-President Academic for the past 2 years. It was during her tenure as Interim Provost that Fei raised the issue of students not having their pronouns recognized in the classroom and in campus offices and the results of that partnership are being presented today.
