Cherie Gagnon
Cherie Gagnon has been the Accessibility Manager in the Office of Human Rights, Equity and Accessibility since February 2020. Cherie has been involved in the disability community for nearly 25 years in many capacities from boards, provincial reference groups, work in the nonprofit sector, to lived experience as a parent of two adult sons with disabilities. Her work experience includes supporting families of children with disabilities, developing educational workshops, working with people who have mental health conditions, and developing supports for isolated seniors. Cherie holds two undergraduate degrees from the University of Windsor and received a Master's in Disability and Community Studies from the Cummings School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. She is enjoying the opportunity to work at her alma mater to support an inclusive and accessible experience for students and employees.
