Dr. Tranum Kaur
Dr. Tranum Kaur, from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemisry at the University of Windsor, has over 13 years of teaching experience to undergraduate and graduate students. In the Master of Medical Biotechnology program at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, she has designed, developed and delivered several new courses and promoted active pedagogical learning practices, facilitated discussion forums, case-based team presentations, and clicker-based evaluation quizzes. Dr. Kaur has participated in numerous educational workshops and conferences as part of her continuous professional development. Tranum is passionate in advancing equity, inclusivity and diversity on campus and beyond. She has been an active member of The Status of Women, Diversity, and Equity Action Committee (SWDEAC) since 2013 and is currently serving as an union representative on two employment equity related committees namely, Review Committee on Employment Equity (RCEE) and the Canada Research Chairs Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee at the University of Windsor. Dr. Kaur is a recipient of several prestigious awards including Excellence in Mentoring (2018), Roger Thibert Teaching Excellence (2017), and Dean of Science Recognition (2015) Award.
