Welcome to New Faculty Orientation at the University of Windsor!
This highly interactive event focuses on critical start-up knowledge for your research, teaching, and career planning, It's also a great chance to meet your colleagues, as welll as key people in teaching and learning, research services, student services, the administration, and the Faculty Association. Orientation will help you to:
- hit the ground running, no matter what position you’re taking on;
- start developing your campus network;
- get to know the campus and the community; and
- get help with organizational and logistical issues that often take up a lot of new faculty members’ time and energy.
We strongly encourage you to attend!
Most events will take place from 9am-2pm. There will be optional events that will take place after 2pm.

Participants will walk through the process of organizing the course menu, adding material to your site, and determining tool availability. This session introduces faculty to UWinsite Student, the University of Windsor's new student information platform. UWinsite Student includes modules for student records, admissions, academic advising, and student financials and financial aid. Faculty can access UWinsite Student via a self-service portal to submit final grades, monitor grade appeals, and add or remove students from a course, among other tasks.
