All women have the right to live in a safe environment, free from intimidation and threat of violence. In Ontario, one woman in three is being slapped, punched, pushed, kicked, bitten or threatened by her husband or partner. This is happening in rich and poor families and families from every cultural and educational background. This session will provide an overview of domestic violence including warning signs, how to help/support someone who is being abused and the services available in our community.
